Dr.h.c. Marjan Pipenbaher and Tomaž Weingerl with the team of engineers from Ponting Bridges and Pipenbaher Consulting Engineers, along with architects Blaž Budja, Rok Jereb, and Dušan Stupar from Jereb Budja Architects, have been honoured with the prestigious Plečnik Medal.
The awards committee recognized a close relationship the footbridge in Irča vas establishes with the Krka River and complements the natural environment, and awarded a Plečnik Medal in the category of public space.
This esteemed award represents the pinnacle of national recognition for exceptional contributions to architecture, urbanism, and landscape architecture. It celebrates projects both within the borders of the Republic of Slovenia and abroad that significantly enhance the spatial culture of Slovenia.
